About MFOL
The March For Our Lives Elizabethtown College chapter first began in the fall of 2019. We work to end gun violence by focusing on gun safety, legislative action, and violence prevention.
Advocacy Campaigns
We work to end gun violence. This year, we look forward to helping with voter registration, expanding our legislative involvement, and more!
Get Out to Vote
There are many ways to take action and voting is immensely important! We encourage all eligible voters to register to vote, as well as vote on Election Day either in-person or via a mail in ballot or absentee ballot.
Voter Registration
We encourage all eligible voters to register to vote.
For general information on registering to vote, see here: https://www.usa.gov/voter-registration/. Be sure to change your voter registration if you've moved, changed your name, or now consider yourself a member of another U.S. political party! You can also confirm your registration, along with registering to vote and getting a voter registration card. Voter registration age requirements vary by state and are listed on the website as well.
Voting Information for Voting In-Person or via Mail In Ballot or Absentee Ballot
To vote in-person, find information on your polling place here: https://www.voteamerica.com/where-is-my-polling-place/.
For information on mail-in voting and absentee ballots, see here: https://www.usa.gov/absentee-voting. Mail-in ballots typically do not require a reason as a way to provide all American citizens with access to voting during the pandemic; however, valid reasons may be required for absentee ballots. Please note that mail-in ballots and absentee ballots should be sent in advance due to issues with USPS; the ballots should be sent roughly by mid October. Additionally, voters can also drop off their ballots in a ballot drop box or at their polling location, if choosing not to mail them.
Voting in the Primaries
Pennsylvania's primary is May 18. Polls will be open from 7 AM to 8 PM. Mail-in ballots must be requested by May 11. The registration deadline is May 3.
For information on other states, see here: https://www.fvap.gov/guide/appendix/state-elections.
